Gökhan Erkutlu has 15 years of experience in the NGO sector working with local and international organizations.

Having started his professional career in The International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) in 2001, Gökhan had worked in and/or led various projects in protecting displaced people, including migrants, refugees, and internally displaced people in Turkey, Yemen and Beirut. His other previous experiences also include working for Minority Rights and Refugee Council in the United Kingdom.

Since 2009, Erkutlu has been worked as STL’s Operations Director for eight years. Throughout this period, he had a variety of responsibilities. By launching STL’s “Support to Life with E-Card” program, Gökhan set a good standard for not just STL’s operations, but for all aid operations in the region. As part of the project Gökhan coordinated, the beneficiaries could receive cash support through e-cards and have the opportunity to choose freely when purchasing their needs. With the use of dedicated applications on tablets and smart phones, collection of operations data could be streamlined.

Gökhan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey.
